Harmon bookends Women’s History Month with important industry engagements
Harmon hosted two recent industry events to bookend Women’s History Month in March!
First, on February 26, the Cincinnati plant welcomed 30 guests from the Ohio Women in Manufacturing (WiM) chapter for a 2.5-hour session that included an overview of Harmon and Apogee, panelist Q&A, plant tour, and networking. Harmon’s panel consisted of 10 women – with representation across our functions, levels, and geographies. We were honored to host such a great group of people for an amazing discussion and appreciated their shared enthusiasm for championing gender equity in manufacturing.
Just a few days following, Harmon was also proudly represented by a team of women at National Glass Association (NGA)’s BEC Conference in Las Vegas at the start of Women In Construction Week. From the field to the office, women are making meaningful impacts in every part of the construction process and playing an integral role in driving success on every project.
Lastly, on March 27, the Harmon Chicago office was pleased to welcome local high school students for a National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) event! The day included an overview presentation of Harmon, takeoff workshop and a curtain wall building activity that consisted of assembling frames, installing glass, and caulking joints. The Harmon team was excited to be a part of developing the future workforce and empowering more women to explore rewarding careers in construction.
